Patent Litigator, UPC Experience, Germany Munich or Dusseldorf (but remote within Germany considered).

Job Region: Overseas

Help develop the UPC practice in Germany of an international intellectual property firm.

Over the last few years our client has had some significant successes at the UPC.  They want to solidify this forward momentum by recruiting a specialist German qualified litigator with considerable UPC experience.  The role will be crucial in further developing and consolidating the practice therefore you will have substantial influence over strategy, commercial goals, recruitment and management.

Whilst a client following is not required, a track record in client management and development will be essential.

This role offers substantial possibilities for career enhancement – it will be very high profile, with the entire partnership supporting its success.  Assuming all goes to plan then the practice will grow rapidly and you will be at the heart of that.  Longer term there may be opportunities with the business in terms of help establishing other offices or developing the litigation strategies of the firm as a whole.

Suitable candidates will most likely be qualified German Lawyers although Patent Attorneys with considerable UPC experience may be considered. The firm is predominantly English speaking and therefore a reasonable level of English is required.

This is a key strategic hire and therefore all reasonable and competitive salary expectations will be positively considered.  There is a great deal of flexibility in this regard.
