A well‑established UK firm is seeking to appoint a Partner‑level patent attorney with a background in electronics, software, physics or related high‑tech fields. The role sits within a strong Midlands practice and is focused on bolstering an existing team with someone who brings a rounded Partner profile — combining technical depth with business development capability, team leadership and contribution to wider firm strategy.
You will work across a broad mix of high‑tech subject matter, including complex software‑driven inventions and advanced electronics. The team advises a range of major technology‑focused clients, from fast‑growth innovators to global organisations operating at scale. The incoming Partner will help strengthen this offering and support the continued development of the group.
The position involves a hybrid working pattern, typically around two days per week in the office, with flexibility depending on client and team commitments.
Key aspects of the role include shaping client relationships, contributing to practice growth, mentoring and developing attorneys, supporting training initiatives, and playing an active part in operational and strategic discussions within the partnership. No client following is required; the focus is on adding capability, presence and long‑term leadership within the team.
