Business Development / Account Manager – (Europe) London or Munich

  • Anywhere
Job Region: Around the UK

An international professional services organisation is seeking a Business Development / Account Manager to support its European offices. This is a strategic liaison role focused on working directly with senior professionals to shape growth plans, strengthen client relationships, and ensure alignment with wider global priorities.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will partner closely with senior stakeholders to help them define, refine, and execute business development plans. The emphasis is on strategic thinking, relationship management, and providing credible guidance rather than maintaining a personal contact base. The role acts as a bridge between European offices and the global BD team, ensuring that initiatives, insights, and priorities flow effectively across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with partners to develop and implement business development plans for European markets.
  • Serve as a liaison between European offices and the global BD function.
  • Provide market, client, and competitor insight to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support partners in strengthening key client relationships and identifying cross-border opportunities.
  • Coordinate European thought-leadership activities, events, and campaigns.
  • Manage submissions for relevant rankings, directories, and industry awards.
  • Oversee planning and evaluation of conferences, sponsorships, and client programmes.
  • Produce research and analysis to inform strategic priorities.
  • Support pitches, proposals, and client pursuits across Europe.
  • Assist with onboarding and integration of senior hires from a BD perspective.
  • Manage European BD budgets and monitor spend against strategic goals.

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent English and German (written and verbal).
  • Experience in business development or account management within professional services such as legal, consulting, or accountancy.
  • Strong credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to influence and guide without authority.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to turn ideas into practical actions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project-management skills.
  • Comfortable operating in an international, multi-office environment.
  • Familiarity with innovation-driven or technical sectors is beneficial but not essential.
  • Confident with CRM systems and data-driven reporting.

Working Model

The role may be based in London or Munich, with flexibility for remote work and occasional international travel.
