An established and highly respected intellectual property firm is expanding its Dublin team and is looking for a patent attorney with experience in the electronics or computing fields. This is a chance to work at the forefront of emerging technologies whilst contributing to a practice known for quality, collaboration, and long term client relationships.
You’ll work with pioneering companies, research organisations, and fast growing tech businesses – helping them protect and maximise the value of their ideas. The role offers meaningful responsibility, exposure to complex and varied work, and the support of a knowledgeable and friendly team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Advising clients on patents, designs, technical data, licensing, and broader IP strategy
Identifying and addressing real world commercial and technical challenges
Carrying out detailed technical, scientific, and legal research
Communicating complex concepts clearly to clients and colleagues
Representing clients before the EPO and other authorities
Drafting, prosecuting, and securing IP rights across a range of technologies
Driving business development and managing the growth of the patent team
Occasional travel may be required

What You Bring
Qualified European Patent Attorney with around 5-10 years’ PQE
Academic or professional background in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science or a related field (other disciplines considered with relevant experience)
Located in Dublin or a willingness to move in the near future
Strong drafting and prosecution experience
Broad understanding of technical, scientific, and legal IP issues
Experience and/or interest in business development and managing a team
Clear and confident communication skills
Strong analytical and research capability
High attention to detail and sound judgement
Ability to manage deadlines and varied workloads
