Intellectual Property News Round Up 3.

Bringing You The Best From The Web…

The Microsoft Word patent case that we reported on in Round Up 1 is getting ever more attention.  “This is a vital case for inventors and entrepreneurial companies who, like i4i, are damaged by the wilful infringement of their patents by competitors; particularly competitors as large and powerful as Microsoft,” is a great quote reported in The Register, whilst Computerworld reports that: “Microsoft warns of chaos if Word sales are halted”.

In UK News, BTG are potentially in dispute with Samsung and Apple amongst others, reports Electronics Weekly and the BBC reports on the UK Government’s crack down on fake goods brought into the country by tourists.

In terms of current market conditions at present we are getting very mixed opinion -some private practice firms of Patent Attorneys are keen to continue recruiting and have no shortage of work whilst others have battened down the hatches for the cold winter to come…

Finally and in a blatant bit of self promotion our recent press release, has seemingly gained a astonishing amount of Internet traffic just put “goose attack”, “controversial goose” or indeed “Fellows and Associates” into Google and you will see what we mean.
