Strategic Patent Attorney – IP Management Consultancy
In-house, private practice, sometimes it seems that there are really only two options for qualified patent attorneys.
Not necessarily!
Here’s the pitch – you will be working for a tech start up focused on supporting businesses develop innovation. They’re doing this via a software infrastructure around an AI platform supporting Fortune 500 companies and international law firms. The business is well funded with significant growth aspiration over the coming years.
The role is to work with clients and develop, prototype and deliver proofs of concepts and new products. You will apply your background in IP to determine how the business captures and protects ideas as it grows. Part a consultancy role, part a strategy, part research and part business development, this is a position for a patent attorney interested in something typical of a patent attorney.
Successful applications will likely be qualified patent attorneys, the jurisdiction is less important. There could be some upside to candidates who have a life sciences background but that is certainly not essential.
The salary range for position would be around Senior Associate/Director level but with flexibility beyond this.
