Fellows and Associates currently have at least three outstanding opportunities for Directors, Salaried or Equity Partners (and potentially Senior Associates) who have a client following. We are happy to discuss this with you and how a move may work in respect to any restrictive covenants you may have. The firms we are working with include one large multi-office national firm and two smaller firms. In the case of the latter, in one of the firms in particular there should be the opportunity to join the equity partnership pretty quickly and help shape the direction of the firm. In the case of the large firm, opportunities vary from technical area to technical area but they will consider candidates from all technical areas including trademarks and across their offices in the UK. In respect to a client following, an ideal figure would be one that is at least 150% of your expected remuneration level. However, this is certainly not an absolute. We would, for example, be keen to speak to you if you had a following of 50% of your remuneration but with a contact base that could lead to more work eventually (but without having to make any assurances).
We will work with you to present the best possible realistic case to firms as well as worst case scenarios so you can move with the confidence that the firm you are joining understand the potential benefits and the risks.
