Client Account Manager

Salary: £65,000 plus bonus and benefits

Job Description

This is a role focused on client engagement.  You will be great at ensuring that clients benefit from an excellent relationship with the firm and the that the firm maximises the potential advantages of these relationships. 

The practice you will be working for are a leading specialist intellectual property business made up of patent attorneys, trade mark attorneys and solicitors.  Ideally you will have worked in the IP sector before or, if not, other professional services businesses. 

You will be responsible for a select group of clients with your overarching mission statement to ensure that they receive exemplary service, their requirements are met and that you understand them well.  You will work alongside attorneys and support teams within the firm to ensure effective coordination of resources, using internal diplomacy to get the best from everyone.

With your clients’ needs in mind you will endeavour to streamline and improve processes where you can and/or make recommendations to the wider firm.  You will ensure that commitments made to clients are kept and that service levels are consistent.  In partnership with the firm’s finance team, you will ensure that relevant management and financial tools are in place where appropriate.  You will work with colleagues in building and developing the client account function within the firm.

From a business development perspective, whilst the core function of this role is concerned with growth via a foundation of strong relationships you will also look for opportunities where they present themselves.  This might be cross-selling or managing the process around new opportunities within a particular client organisation (such as coordinating new business proposals).

Ideal candidates will be consummate networkers, great at managing and building bonds with a keen intelligence to know how to get the most from people they work with but are not in charge of.  You will have a good understanding of using financial data and demonstrable experience in a similar environment.

There is flexibility on where this role could be based.  The firm have offices across the UK so will be very open to ideas on locations.  They operate a hybrid working policy.
