Job Description

This is a fast-growing biotechnology department in a highly profitable firm expanding in two locations. Therefore, they are looking for a new addition to the team who could be based in either their Cambridge or London offices.

You will enjoy a great mix of work including immunology, therapeutics, food technology, genetics and plant bio-agritech. The overwhelming majority of their clients are direct so you will be working closely with in-house teams and R&D to develop an IP strategy. The firm works with large pharmaceutical companies, start-ups and particularly research institutions right at the cutting edge. As a consequence of the client mix there will be substantial opportunities for oppositions, FTO, IP strategy and original drafting.

The firm will encourage and support you in building your own profile in the sector such as funding overseas travel to meet clients and new contacts as well as attending conferences.

In the medium-term, career advancement potential is significant with an excellent chance of succession towards the Partnership. You will also be able to pursue interests beyond the core of the job such as being part of firm project teams on particular issues from administration management to diversity strategy.
