Electronics/Physics Patent Attorney, Leeds
Yorkshire seems to be a little hotbed of recruitment despite Covid-19 with firms that have the funds to make new hires due to a mixed portfolio of clients that means that they are financially secure. If you have been toying with the idea of relocation (or indeed are in Yorkshire already), there may not be a better time to do so. We are facing a period of financial insecurity and living in a city with a lower cost of living but with salaries at the same level as London for patent attorneys could be a smart move. In addition, given to the particular make-up of the firm’s Leeds office there are much increased possibilities of progression to partnership at a faster pace than might be possible in other locations.
Because the firm is growing in Yorkshire but is large elsewhere the role will require a mixed approach of drafting and prosecution of high-quality work from international corporations whilst also getting out there and meeting new clients locally and developing strategic relationships. If you enjoy the social side of the job there is a great deal on offer with this position.
