A small yet strategically minded practice in the Midlands requires a recently qualified attorney to help manage their current work load, as well as adding to their portfolio with additional clients across the chemical and pharmaceutical fields. The practice handles a diverse range of technologies, including new chemical entities; formulations; polymorphs; drug delivery devices; and new medical uses, and works with small local start-ups, SMEs and large pharmaceuticals both in the UK and in Europe.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of your clients' IP from initial IP capture and invention harvesting, drafting and prosecution, through to all ongoing portfolio management and handling any contentious matters that may occur. The firm is known for their commerical edge, and so you will also be required to provide pragmatic advice that exploits the true value of your clients' IP and identify areas which can be further developed and protected over time.
The close knit nature of the team will ensure you have ongoing and individually tailored support and training, and the career prospects and earning potential is excellent.
