This firm is highly commerical and holds an impeccable reputation for maintaining a high level of service when it comes to their work, with a stellar track record in preserving (and increasing) the value of their clients’ IP portfolio. They are advocates for collaborative working and encourage their fee earners at all levels to become involved in business development initiatives, training and recruitment, and contributing to the development of internal firm wide policies.
You will be given the opportunity to handle your own caseload from very early on, and will be responsible for tasks such as offering invaluable strategic advice which in turn increases the value of your clients’ IP, and ensuring the ongoing protection through devising complex arguments and defending against any oppositions that may occur. There is a strong focus on contentious work, allowing for regular travel to the EPO as well as meeting with direct clients located across Europe.
The firm has a refreshing and fluid approach to business, evolving with the latest developments in the industry to ensure they stay at the forefront of the profession. Their training is incredibly efficient, with an impressive first time pass rate with trainees, and the ongoing support they offer is some of the best around.
Ideal candidates will be at finalist level, although those from part qualified up to those with a couple of years’ PQE will also be considered, and it is hoped you will have a strong academic background in a subject matter related to either chemistry, biotechnology or both.
